Therapist

I offer online counselling and psychotherapy. I work with clients who have been suffering stress and anxiety, those dealing with past trauma, work or relationship issues.
I worked with people suffering work related stress following the 2008 financial crisis, and later I specialised in helping women who have survived childhood sexual abuse, sexual assault and violence, in a rape crisis centre.
I can help you make the changes you want to, and live your life. We can work together at your pace, whether you would like short term counselling or longer term work.
Contact me if you’d like a free 15 minute consultation call, or to arrange an appointment for therapy.

Sarah Clowes-Barron

Therapist

My name is Sarah, I am currently in my final year of advanced TA psychotherapy training. Psychotherapy offers a safe space for individuals to explore their own histories and overcome life’s challenges. I am experienced in 1:1 and group therapy, both offering a unique experience and opportunity to grow. I work with the therapeutic relationship to help people realise their full potential, process losses and begin to live free from repeated destructive behaviours. I meet people from all different backgrounds and take pride in adapting to the diverse needs of the individual.

I have a history in caring for special needs children, this is where my career and passion for therapy began, since then I have had numerous support roles. I have worked in the criminal justice system since 2011 and specialise in treatment of addiction not only to substances but behavioural addiction too. I am trauma informed and have a sound understanding of mental illness. My interests are codependency, symptoms of trauma, spirituality, anger, fear and shame.

I am based in the St. Albans area of Hertfordshire, currently all my sessions are held remotely via Zoom making access to therapy easier for many people. However, if you would prefer face to face counselling please take my location into account. I offer a free initial session offering you the chance to see if I am the right person for you. If you would like to contact me to arrange a session or for any further information, please call me on 07714 735 149 or you can email me using the Contact Therapist button below.
