Re-scheduled to Wed. 16 May
Both TA trainees/practitioners/clients and shamanic students/practitioners/clients are welcome, as well as those interested purely in having fun with drumming. This is an opportunity to let go and experience our full emotional range without shame or words, to feel the heartbeat of the earth bring us into alignment with our selves and each other and give us access to the primal shamanic ecstatic state which is the oldest form of spirituality on the planet, with evidence in cave paintings going back 30-40,000 years and evidence emerging in recent years through neuroscience that prove why these practices have been working for healing and changing lives for all of that time right up to the present day.
Experiential throughout, we will relate TA theory where appropriate to the work, but primarily learn and integrate through practice or as Berne said, cure first and talk later! As ideas for TA folk, you might want to think about the relevance of this work to Type 3 impasses, injunctions such as Don't Belong, Don't Feel, Don't be You, accessing the creativity and energy of Free Child, how drivers will impact on our freedom to drum…
And in the world of shamanic lore… you can learn how to drum for your own journeys and those of others, how to hold the energetic beat of a group, bring through your power animals and teachers to give them physical expression in the Middle World, achieve power retrieval and bring your questions on shamanic drum ritual and ceremony…
Wear loose clothing, bring a frame drum such as a Buffalo Drum, a bodhran or similar if you have one and any spares you have too please – we can provide a few spares to loan or buy on the day if not. Teas/coffees etc are available and are included in the price, but bring your lunch or buy from local shops within a five-minute walk.
