Evaluation Workshop

Weekend 28-29 April 2012

Workshop leader: Frances Townsend MSc PGDSupervision PTSTA(P)

The Berne Institute Counselling Skills Certificate is available to trainees and counsellors who have completed 180 hours of advanced training (including Foundation year) either at The Berne Institute or at other training institutes or colleges. A review and evaluation of basic counselling skills takes place at a two-day Counselling Skills Evaluation Workshop. The next workshop is on the weekend of 28-29 April 2012.

During the workshop participants will be taught basic counselling skills and have the opportunity to practise them in peer counselling. Participants’ competency will be evaluated during the workshop, and those meeting the required standard will be awarded the Counselling Skills Certificate.

Who should attend?  Applications are invited from practising and trainee counsellors, not only in TA but in other recognised modalities. Participants must provide evidence of completed training hours (min. 180) in counselling, using TA, NLP, Person-Centred counselling, Gestalt or other relevant training, and also evidence of reflective learning and/or practice (e.g. two-page extract from journal). Please bring these to the workshop.
